Owners

We are the owners here at The Village. We wanted a safe place for our grandchildren to learn, grow and flourish into well rounded individuals, so we opened Little Village Learning Center. It takes a village to raise a child and that is what we have created here. We both have years of experience with our own children as well as grandchildren and feel that each child in our care is an extension of our family. Safety of our children is a number one priority and that is why all staff is first aid and CPR certified.

Shelby Judd

Director

Hi there, my name is Shelby Judd and I am the Assistant Director here at Little Village Learning Center. I was a preschool teacher for 5 years prior to coming to the Village, and I’m currently in school for a degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education and American Sign Language.

I have my Childhood Developments Associate Credential, Commonwealth Child Care Credential, and am working towards my Directors Credential.

I joined Little Village because it was unlike anything I had ever seen in childcare, and I knew that this facility was going to go above and beyond. For its families, for its kids, and for its staff. This place truly is a Village!

Desirae Adkins

Lead Teacher

Hello! My name is Desirae Adkins,
I’m 24 years old, married and have two beautiful kids. I have been in childcare for 7 years and have loved every minute out it!
I have a lot of experience with infants to 4yr olds. I’m CPR and First Aid certified.
In high school my career pathway was childhood development and I have recently decided to further my education and obtain my Child Development Associate. With that being said my goal for my future is to stay in the childcare setting. Id like to start with my CDA and then move up the ladder as a director and eventually own my own center.
What made me want to work with the little village is, it’s not just a job. We are a family, and here for each other. I love my kids that I work with in the 3-4 year old room.

Hey there, my name is Celesta. I am 24 years old. I am engaged and have a handsome 2 year old little boy. I went to college and graduated as a Certified Medical Assistant. After being in healthcare for awhile I knew where I wanted to be more than anything and that’s teaching little ones and helping shape their little minds. I have always had a big heart for children and I am glad to be apart of the Little Village Family. I have begun furthering my education in Early Child Development and recently completed my CCCC. I cannot wait to see what the further holds for me at Little Village.

Chrystal Glock

Teacher

Future Career: Elementary School Teacher
I have taken a plethora of classes towards a nursing degree before realizing children were more of a passion, I have switched majors to obtain a degree in Elementary Education.
I have background education in child development, child psychology, and some nursing. I have personal experience from babysitting, working in the nursery at church, and raising my little girl. I worked with a physical therapist for my daughter, so I know tricks and tips on how to help infants meet their milestones. I bring knowledge and a fun-loving attitude.
I love working with children and infants are my favorite age! Babies are so cute, and I love making them laugh and watching them grow! There is nothing better than seeing their smiles and helping them meet their milestones!
I love my babies! I love being able to watch them grow and help them become independent. I like my fellow teacher in the room, as well as my co-workers here. I love the village theme and community-based learning here.
